I retired from a career in industrial chemistry in 1999, and now live in Surrey (UK).
I have had a lifelong side-interest in the Latin language and Roman history (from the foundation to the early Empire), and have translated five well-known works of English literature (Grahame, Dickens, Hope, Orwell, Austen) into Latin. For the last twelve years I have been leader with our local U3A branch of a group entitled "Reviving Latin".
